Inventive ways of using our blue cheeses

The Cashel Burger

Preparation time: 10 mins | Cooking time: 20 mins | Serves: 1

Bóbós use a 7oz Irish beef mince burger. This burger recipe works great by substituting the beef pattie for a vegetarian burger!

 

  • 7oz Beef Burger
  • Tomato Relish
  • Cashel Blue Cheese
  • Smoked Bacon
  • Beef Tomato Slice
  • Onion
  • Rocket
  • Mayonnaise
  1. Fry the smoked bacon (1 slice per burger), and fry the onions.
  2. Cook burger to your liking on a grill or pan, when it is nearly cooked through, add 2 or 3 slices of Cashel Blue (approx 25g) on top and allow to melt onto the burger as it cooks.
  3. Lightly toast the burger bun, then spread top and bottom with mayonnaise and tomato relish
  4. Assemble the burger with bacon, fried onions, beef tomato slice, and rocket.
