After his father sold the home farm at Ardmayle, Cashel, Samuel Grubb amongst other things, managed a peanut farm in South Africa. On his homecoming, he buys Beechmount Farm from a childhood friend, and moves back to his native South Tipperary to farm the land with his wife Phylis.
